The team at Foljambe Estates manage 1,000 acres of mixed commercial and amenity woodlands. We provide a high quality and sustainable source of hardwood and softwood timber for the furniture trade, the building industry, various equine markets and domestic use.
Sustainable woodland management
- We are responding to climate change and the increasing levels of disease in trees by establishing a broader mix of species with a greater degree of resilience.
- We are working to enhance not just the tree cover, we are aiming to enhance the under storey and the woodland floor to benefit mammals, birds and insects.
- We endeavour to plant over 25,000 new trees, hedge plants and woodland shrubs each year to double the woodland cover of the estate by 2037.
